PowerTools Drive Controls 3.07
PowerTools Drive Controls 3.07 was released 1/30/95 updating from version 3.06. It adds support for some older model APS CD–ROM drives that had not previously included in prior releases. An update "Drive Controls 3.07 Updater" is available from our ftp site <ftp.apstech.com> and our BBS (816–483–4541). This update will patch any previous version 3.X to version 3.07.
Control Panel (Drive Controls)
Fixed a problem in the password dialog box. When you are entering a new
password (after enabling passwords), command–period, although it flashed the
cancel button, did not cancel the dialog box. It now does work properly.
Fixed a bug that was causing cdev to not correlate the maximum cache slice
settings at boot–time with the maximum settings when operating the control
panel.
Fixed a bug that caused cdev to not create a RAM cache if a Maxima RAM disk
is occupying more that 1/2 of physical RAM.
Added support for Epson MO 128 drives sold by APS. This was inadvertantly
omitted in previous versions.
Drivers (both application and control panel)
CD Driver Icons have the SCSI ID again.
Put in a fix that prohibits the Read–ahead caching from reading beyond the
end of the disk.
Fixed a problem where password protection dialog box would appear sometimes
when ejecting a floppy. An Apple bug, was causing the boot volume to become
ejected and remounted. I added a work–around that allows password protection
to not become invoked when the mounting volume is simply offline.
